The long road home II: Brigands and bows

My journey has started, with a quite unexpected first few days.

My final night before departing from Bree, I was joined by an elven aquaintance from our band of Sworn Wanderers, Amnildir Wolfpaw. We sat at the Prancing Pony and shared wondrous and somber stories of our childhood and of love forever lost. I shall write my story down some time, but at the moment I am much too weary.

As I departed, I first made my way past Archet where I have had a new bow made by Fenton Marshley, a brilliant young bowyer who has temporary residence near the hunting lodge. Quite a marvelous bow, I might add, but he did charge me heavily for it. He also mentioned that there had been word from Rhovanion, and I might have a chance to speak with Thranduils son if I make it to Rivendell in the coming weeks!  We shall see if it is possible.

Leaving Archet, I came across Amnildir again, speaking with another of the oathsworn, a captain of Bree called Naismithea. He urged us to help him gather evidence towards a pack of brigands that had taken residence in the outskirts of Bree-land. Unarmed and dressed as salesmen we infiltrated their camp, but where forced to fight our way out with our bare hands until we found the stash where the captains associates had hidden our weapons. Once we had these, there was no problem dispersing the ruffians. The captain did seem to be pleased, he had found several evidence of great value to him.

After this unexpected adventure, I followed the east-west road towards the Lone-lands. I have after several days travel made it to the Forsaken Inn. I shall stay here a few days and assist Anlaf the forlorn, whom I have promised to help track down a cart gone astray.
