"Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood." George S. Patton
----Since they had been banished, Rimedur and Autumn travelled through the land of Rohan with the sons of Lord Dawforge; Morlargan and Tryess. They were both excellent fighters, though in their different ways. Morlargan, the eldest, was far more agile and preferred and bow and dual sword. Tryess, on the other hand, used most of his of his built up anger to fuel a great source of brute strength and preferred to use a greatsword or a hammer.
----The two brothers decided that, should they be seperated from each other, Rimedur and Autumn would need to know how to defend themselves. Autumn chose to learn from Morlargan, whereas Rimedur decided to learn from Tryess. His sister quickly caught on to the fighting tactics of Morlargan and was able to skillfully adjust. However, Tryess' tactics were a bit unpredictable and sometimes very brutal, which made it much harder to memorize his movements.
----Soon, though, Rimedur was making even more unpredictable moves than Tryess. Every now and then he would pull a dagger out of his boot while sparring and use that if he had been disarmed.
----Once, they had come to a town in Rohan. It's economy was based mostly on crafting and trade. There, Rimedur got his first shield; a round, steel shield with a star in the center and a green, Summer leaf to represent his nickname, August. There was also where Autumn received her first bow; a longbow with an orangish-brown leaf on each end to represent her name.
----It was not soon after they left the town that they had to use their new weapons. A band of Orcs from Valar knows where, came and attacks the four. There were about twenty. Too many to fend off forever with only four. They were very skilled with their equiptment. Like they had been trained for exactly this moment.
----The little skirmash was begining to go sour when Tryess whistled melodically, calling his Wintery white horse. He ordered Rimedur and Autumn ride out of there. To the Isen if possible. And so they did, not knowing if they would ever see the two brothers again.
