The departure of the heir of Duinn.
So it has come to pass then that Kandral 'Strongbeard', heir to lord Duinn and master of the dwarves their ancient tongue, hands over his circlet back to his uncle, with the rest of the company standing behind in awe and not a little sadness.
Upon seeing the usually lively bunch seem fallen quiet and some wiping their eyes while grumbling below their breath, he left with the words: "I'm going home back to my own halls!"Adding as one of the dwarves played a mournfull hymn, "I'm not dead!"
Despite the attempted joke, only a few managed a grin or a chuckle, then they positioned themselves at the door, and so he passed between two ranks of saluting dwarves and the statues of ancestors back to his duties as lord of Thakalgund.
Though not wallowing in selfpity, as would be very undwarven indeed, they celebrated for a while and gritted their teeth, for many adventures still would lay ahead of them.
