I'm worried.
Stonsten. The bloody fool, he must be losing his mind.
He has found
a Dragon's egg
And HE wants to Keep it.
Bring it up like a child. The thing already has a name. Crombert. CROMBERT, the dragon who will most likely burn our arses to ashes, and eat Stonsten whole. Allthough the beast would spit him right out, ten silvers on that! He's just so damn lucky..
So here we were hanging out in the Prancer, when Stonsten came up with a "brilliant" idea: "Let's tame a dragon!". Of course, Awiergan got excited and cheered and i found it a funny idea..as if they'd actually tame one, I thought. So we all agreed. Packed our backs, saddled up the horses and off we went, together with Gweneira, who thought to keep an eye on us idiots..I can't blame her.
We set off North, passed Trestlebridge and entered the North Downs..where we all got seperated. Apparently Gweneira found me in a crossroad, said Awiergan had gone ahead, and Stonsten was nowhere to be found. Right before we set off, Awiergan bumped into us, said Stonsten was up the road to the East. So we follow it, only to find Stonsten on a bridge, and his bloody horse freaking out under it. "Bear..damn..bears..", he said. So Awiergan asks me to go get it, since I didnt have much weight on me..damn Rohirs always walk around in armour, me wonders if they take it off to sleep or eat or..whatever. The trader Stonsten wasn't much lighter, he was carrying his whole house on his back, I swear! So there I go, freeze myself into the water, Stonsten's horse kicking at me, but eventually I got it, once Stonsten jumped on it's back..his animal is just as crazy as him.
But until the bloody horse decided to get out of the river, the night had fallen on us. We camped at some ruins, and Awiergan took his lass to gather some wood, while Stonsten went off to kill some game for us to eat. Never thought a mountain lion would taste so well, and Gweneira seemed to like it too. The trader cooks well after all. Awiergan stood watch until the next day found us and then I had the fright of my life: Stonsten's mad-horse grabbed me hat, started chewing on it and trotted off..I thought that was the end of my glorious hat, but the trader chased the animal around, and saved it eventually. And very well he did! Else I might have killed him...I like the hat, don't blame me..
But then he gets the "excellent" idea to charge into Angmar on his own, in search of his dragon. We shook our heads and headed back to Bree. I want to live to see my kid born, and Awiergan..is a bit of a cowart, he doesn't fight much, unless he has to. Gweneira has a bit of brain unlike the rest of us, so she followed us back to my hometown.
A day passes and I recieve a letter:
"Come pick me up from Trestlebridge, my horse sort of died - Stonsten"
I sighed and hopped back onto my horse, only to meet Stonsten halfway to Trestlebridge, walking, his clothes scortched and his gloves blackened. In his arms he carried an egg around the size of his torso. I halted my horse and stared at the egg with awe...damn fool took it all th' way to Bree.a dragon's egg. They didn'realise, the guards didn't, that it was a dragon's hatchling in there.
I might move to Moria, far far away from the beast.. and its owner!
