The Bard's Song - Blind Guardian (Instrumental)

Gweneira was born in a small farmer settlement in the Eastfold. The little town consisted only of three families. The little settlement was thriving, selling their surplus of harvest in the surrounding larger towns. Gwen was raised to be a farmhand herself, though she adored listening to her father as he played the horn. Facinated by the sounds, she'd dance around for hours, never tiring. Life was good, harvests bountifull. Perhaps this is what caused their downfall.

On a night, a night as any other night, their little, happy, settlement got raided. Some say it were brigands, some say it were fierce orcs. Even gwen herself wouldn't be able to tell this. Covered by darkness, Gweneira was lucky, and managed to run away and escape the carnage. She ran, and ran and ran. After a few days and nights of wandering around she could no longer resist approaching one of the campfires lighting up the road. By the campfire she found a travelling trader and his company of sellswords. The man was a very noble man, who dressed her and fed her, he even felt such pity for the lost girl that he decided to take her with him. It was only that night, that she cried and mourned about her family.

A few years later, nobody could say the girl in this mans company was a farmers daughter, save maybe the scar on her cheek, reminding her of her old life. She followed the trader and his company, learning the ropes and, much because she insisted, she learned how to play the lute and make her own music. The trader taught her how to read and write as well during these many travels. She would often be found playing in town as the trader went about his business.

Gwen aged, and not without changing. She grew out to be a rather beautifull young woman and this did not stay unnoticed. The trader himself wasn't oblivious for her appearance and was eventually persuaded in an offer to hand her over for marriage. His intentions were pure, finding her a proper, well endowed man, but Gwen resisted. She cried and fought, but the trader would not change his mind, persistent on finding her a good man.

A few days later Gwen was nowhere to be found. She had run off with her horse, Morcia, her lute and what little coin she had. Thanks to everything she had learned by then, she managed to survive on her own just fine. She fled  west, resting in towns for a few weeks along the way, earning coin with her lute skills or simply by being a bar-maid. She learned a lot during these travels, such as cooking and even bake a little, having been a baker-aide for a short while.

Her travels eventually led her to the town of Bree, where she met fellow Rohirrim, though this time it was different. She fell in love with a friendly man with handsome long hair. Unsure on what to do next, Gwen has decided to linger a little longer in Bree, earning coin as a bard.
