The shallow ford just west of Edoras often hosts travelers to and from the throne-hall of Rohan, but on early-week afternoons, the servants and common-folk of Edoras gather at the swift-running waters to do the week's washing. The hours are spent sharing stories and gossip, offering welcome or directions to passers-by at the ford, or chatting idly with fishermen, wanderers, and other gatherers at the water's edge.

Hobbits have a craving for riddles. Riddles are common entertainment at the Shire inns, most notably at the weekly Green Dragon Friday. It has been a while since the hobbits organized their last riddle run though, so it’s high time to have one! And this time, it will be a fun run, because it involves visiting the Shire inns!

Sunlight pours through the golden leaves of the mallorn trees, lighting upon the grape vines ready to burst with their treasure. The sweet scent of grapes is thick in the air, and the elves rejoice at such a bounty, and call for a celebration of the event. Food is called for, and song, and many rivers of wine from the previous years to enjoy with the feast, and birds flock from Lórien to deliver messages of invitation to the other elven kingdoms.
