Hall of Fire was as usualy, but joyful like they were most of the time, but this time Mirineth had an urgent mission for us (Most of the Vanimarians): One of Elrond's scouts were reported to be missing and is being held captive at The Bitter Stair; the name made me feel uneasy. I had heard from my father that it was once a grand dwarved home, but now it is said to be cursed with fell beings and Hillmen.

Culir! I know not what to make of him as yet, for my mentor in the arts of scouting can be as ethereal of nature as any mist. Yet even after the short time I have known him, I perceive he will be one in whom I can trust my deepest thoughts. Wise in the ways of the wild is he – and contemplative of such. Aye – much can I learn from this ‘invisible’ ellon I warrant.

Waking up under the trees of Nen Hilith, with nothing but the sounds of nature to greet me was a nice change, one that I could get used to. Forty years spent over the Misty Mountains, in Mirkwood and beyond and almost nothing has changed. Perhaps I have not changed either. I can almost smell the sea...so close...
