One Last Surprise

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
Much is written in the annals held at the Great Smials in Tuckborough concerning hobbits. But few accounts are as noteworthy, or as adventurous than those of Master Holman Heathertoes. It has been my very good fortune to uncover a journal in which many fine tales of courage and derring-do are related, of which this story is only a part. Entry 37, Summer

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary
The past few weeks has been hard on my family. Our hunts have been little productive and we are short on both food and money. However, when I was delivering a couple of rabbits to a local trader, I was asked to do a task for him. Deliver an important letter to a Hobbit in the Shire. For this, I would be given ten silver coins. I knew I would have to take this task, but I had heard the rumours of late. The roads to the Shire had grown darker and more dangerous. I would never make the journey by myself.
