One late night walk....

Last night, on a late stroll through the town I noticed something beyond the gate. The Guards were awake but talking with one another so I do not think they saw it. Some shadows moved along the fields not all to far from the gate, then when they noticed me looking at them... They disappeared in the darkness of the night.
It does not give me a good feeling..... What is out there...
