Dierra and Flannery have a heart to heart by the Boar Fountain in Bree.

(An untidy scribble): Siward's Diary, Entry 2.

*Even more badly and half-arsedly written than the first page* Tonight I nearly did something I'd regret forevermore, I mean Flannery's a grand lass 'n all, the very picture of my Aela, just goes to show I've still got it in me, eh... still... I love Jenn more than anything in this world, I can't get away from that fact, yet I need to get out o' this stinking sewer, as it happens I can't bring myself to up and leave, but life drags on...

First entry.

*The writing upon the first page of the journal is sprawling and almost child-like in appearance. The spelling is poor, the grammar worse.* Direy entree one.

Story
Bree..A murky pool where words are twisted akin to a dagger in the belly. Gossips, liars, jealous vindictive men and women who wish nothing more than to sow seeds of doubt. The town is full of such people, their lives worth so little, they take their hate and frustrations out on any they might wish to harm. I tire of its people, cold, callous, though that is a lie, for there are a few bright lights amongst the grey.

For my child

*Flannery sits fully upon the bed, her back cushioned with deep duck down pillows and her knees drawn up. A simple book bound in olive green cloth, it's pages of cream parchment roughly cut, lays open upon her lap. Looking about the room a moment, she breathes out slowly and with a quill starts to scratch words to parchment.*

My darling child,
