Hear! Hear!!
To mark the re-opening of the tavern Sizzling Turtle and the start of the Yule period the village of Hookworth in Bree-Land will celebrate a grande festival on the 4. day of the 12. month. Join the festivities by taking part in games like archery and a treasure hunt, or just enjoy a drink while listening to stories and music. Traders and bards are also welcomed to the festival.

The final day of the annual three-day Harnkegger Games and the announcement of this year's Harnkegger Champion! Today's events include a sparring competition and a swimming race in the icy waters of the River Lune! Test your mettle! Let's see what you're made of!

The wonderful Harnkegger Games, an annual festival of Dwarvish origin, continue today with a music contest and a drunken race around the Inns of the Shire. As before a host of tremendous prizes await the winners, including Perlino and Cremello Steeds and Tasty Pies (TP) donated by the very generous Mr. T. Urbine.

As the end of summer comes within reach, the Dwarves of Khuzd Belkul and Durin’s Folk and the good Hobbits of the Shire Angling Club will together host the 3-day-long Harnkegger Games, on 27th, 28th and 29th of August. 

The combined Kinships of Durin's Folk and Khuzd Belkul are hosting a Grand Travelling Dwarrow Fayre! Starting in Frerin's Court at 8pm (BST) on Wednesday 24 April, the Fayre will travel to Needlehole on 25th, Bywater on 1st May and finish in Bree on May 2nd. All dwarrow traders are invited to contact Hanfur to secure a stall. Entertainers of all races are also invited to perform.

The Alebrook neighborhood recently opened up and offered a fine home for many of the folks of the Shire.  Some of those folks that found their way there were the 'Umble-folk' of Buckland.  We've received such a warm welcome that we'd like to have a proper 'Smial-warming'.
