Danel and Estarfin leave their horses at Mirabel, and walk along the riverside towards Caras Gelebren. Although Danel dwelt there for some time, she left before the arrival of Sauron's forces. She still feels some guilt for that. Estarfin has never been in that part of Eregion before, so he listens to Danel's tales. He still feels some guilt for things further back in history.

Taking Rest at Echad Eregion

I arrived at Echad Eregion shortly before nightfall. My horse stabled, watered and fed, I sat to the outside of the group assembled around the fire. Some I recognised, some were new to me. Two Dwarves there were, polite enough as is common for their folk, they offered me a share of their meal.

"Go on, lass. Dried roast has to be better than Lembas."

They chuckled in a well meaning way, and I offered them some Lembas in turn. We exchanged a little of our supplies with half-smiles, the Dwarves likely thinking their kindness had rewarded them ill.

Choices Past: Choices Present

I stood before the ruins of the House of the Mirdan for much of the day. I had not stood there since, oh, since a few years before its destruction.

These past three years I have increasingly wandered from Mithlond to the old lands, wherein I dwelt. As oft came to pass, my feet were drawn to Eregion, though this day and finally, to the ruins of Caras Gelebren. These memories hold me ever into the past. Would that I could live more in the now. But is it not part of the nature of my kind to live much in memory?

No matter. I head back towards Gwingris. May it be I stop for a night or two at Echad Eregion and remember something less sorrowful.

The Journey Back

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Belegos and Danel rode silently back to the Valley. The elf sat atop his mount, Celegsûl, with his hood drawn up and his shoulders hunched slightly. As the pair wound their way down from the dell they had sheltered in the previous night, they drew closer to the morning mist that had not yet burned away from the Valley. The sounds of the Hidden Vale of Imladris were enough to ease the last vestiges of tension from Belegos and he drew himself up straighter in his saddle and his singular grip on the reins relaxed.

A Doomful Quest

After coming upon eachother quite by accident, Hravanis joined the Noldo Lady, Carnifinde in her dark but vital business. It was a journey that took them far across the Trollshaws to the ancient lands of Eregion, a land of many memories for such an ancient pair as they.

We have no report of Lady Carnifinde’s progress since Aearlinn returned to Tum Escal, seven days ago. That naught of importance had transpired between Forlond and Mithlond is not unexpected.

Someone is watching?

Ceuro swung from the saddle of his dark bay mount, and moved stealthily to the edge of the woodland. His sense of being observed had grown stronger since they had broken camp. Danger? A trap? He was not certain.

Turning back to his companion, he shook his head.

"I see nothing untoward, Lady Danel. But our horses are also wary." the dark haired ellon's hand hovered momentarily over his sword hilt.
