Of Mysteries and Grave Digging

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Rak leans down, his fingers moving to feel for a pulse on the man laying down in front of him as his light thin blonde hair moves in front of his eyes.

Sour Mood, Sour Rye

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Saelud leans back in the chair, his mouth twisted in a deep frown as his trimmed stubble itches and pokes at his chin. The man's hand swirls a bit of rye around the edges of the glass he holds as his eyes stare at the fire crackling and popping in front of him, bits a pitch from the wood causing small sparks as they snapped and then faded.

Letters, Lilacs, Kittens and Cats

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Saelud stares in horror at what Clay told him before a nervous laugh finally escapes him, "You told them that?" His hand goes to his mouth as more laugher starts coming from him, "I'm sorry but lad you are so small. Saying that is like having a kitten trying to take on a bear. I would have told them no at some point when my courage returned.

Letter and Lilacs

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Clay moves around the inn looking for one of the many familiar faces around. He spots Saelud as the man passes the kitchen but notices quickly that he is with someone else so he stays back. His shoulders moving in a small shrug as he walks around looking for other people he might know.

Thoughts and Sketches

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Clay sits next to the stairs, sketching silently while the inn bustles around him. People chat, drink, and eat as he continues to sketch. A huff from the dog laying next to him gets him to move a bit to pet her before he picks up his charcoal again and continues on the sketch. His eyes lift to the patrons as he did so, looking for familiar face both good and bad but aside from Ces there are none that catch his eye. He blows a breath up to push some hair out of his eyes as he continues to work and watch.

The woman chases the foal that had grabbed her scarf, "Bring that back!" She shouts as she runs after him, skirt in hand. The ranger who was supposed to be watching the creature wasn't far behind. The foal bucks and bounces before shaking it around, the poor yellow fabric becoming stained with mud and grass. Clay would be hearing about this once the foal was returned to him.

The ranger laughed as he walked the horse through the group of children in the camp who had helped groom her and put flowers in her hair. "She has to go home now. A lad has missed her very much I am sure and she has missed him." A few 'awws' in disappointment rang out before someone caught all of the little ones' attention. They all rushed over leaving the ranger to walk the mare, her foal, and a black wolf-dog into Bree. "I am sure he will be excited to see you all back safe and well cared for." Berry snorts and nudges the man's shoulder.

Home at Last...

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Clay was glad for the familiar weight of a journal on his lap. His fingers trace over the soft leather pulled over wood that was the cover. His last had been full of notes...of conversations, memories, and thoughts.  His eyes water at the thought of the art that had been lost. He looks up and takes a couple of deep breaths while blinking quickly to keep from crying. It could be redone. It could be redone and rebuilt. It felt like an impossible task though, to challenging and ..and....he needed to stop.
