((Disclaimer: The following account did not happen IC, but is merely an explanation for Penham being out of town for the next 17 days or so that I'll be out of the house due to a vacation.))
While spending my time off talking about work related matters with Mandic at the Pony today, I was interrupted by a woman who sought more information about the actions of the Watch in regards to an attack that happened this week. Due to being preoccupied with other work (refer to my other report for more information), I was unable to answer her questions, but decided to follow her to the scene of the crime in order to gain more information about what occured.
When I came to the jail on other business last night, I encountered a visibly distressed woman who wished to report a crime. A murder, as it soon turned out. The following transcript is of the following interrogation that took place after having her sit down.
A man approaches us just after our patrol today. His initial claim was that he has been assaulted. However, further questioning proved it to be nothing more than a minor bar exchange. A drink got spilled, a punch was thrown (by the man himself) and that was that. Hardly a matter for the Watch to investigate. If we started locking people up for bad manners, I'm afraid we would run out of cell space by lunch!
