Outward Appearance

Apears to be around 6'4''. Not abnormally large, though most certainly not small. Daigan has no real outstanding features, he isn't well buffed, nor is he very slender which could indicate he's quite the athlete. Though his outward appearance should not fool you in any way, because his long time in the Gondorian Army did make him very fit and his strength is considered above average. His hair and beard are well-groomed, perhaps giving away a hint of wealth. His face is clean, not a single scar to be found on it, for many an indication he has never seen battle, though most of them found out this is not true.

Background

Daigan was born in Gondor. Son of an officer and his wife, making his youth quite easy for him as his parents were quite wealthy. Even though his youth was considered great, it ended quite quickly. Daigan was only twelve when he heard the grave news his father died in battle. His mother could never bare the pain and Daigan was told she had left him alone, though from that day he was never allowed entrance into his own house anymore, sparking his imagination into thinking his mother was still there, alive or dead... Having lived in a orphanage for two years, Daigan decided it was enough. He broke out one night and quickly ran off into the darkness that had fell on Minas Tirith. After wandering about for a few hours he dropped down and curled up in an alleyway, falling asleep. Daigan woke up with a sharp pain in his neck, when he looked up he stared at bright shinning armour, obviously of the Gondorian Army. One of the soldiers had unsheated his sword and poked Daigan very slightly with the tip of his sword in his neck, leaving a small wound and a slight stream of blood flowing down his neck. Daigan was told he was arrested for leaving the orphanage. Daigan got down on his knees and begged the men not to take him back, the people there were cruel and did not care for Daigan's well-being. The soldiers talked for a brief moment before turning back to Daigan, telling him he would not have to return to the orphanage of he signed up for duty, even though he was this young. Daigan nodded yes swiftly, and they took him to the barracks where Daigan signed up. Of course, and Daigan could've seen it coming, he went to do all the jobs the soldiers themselves didn't want to do. He would spend days mopping the floors and cleaning the mess hall from all their dirty plates and cups. After two years of cleaning, dusting and training when he had the spare time, Daigan was once more in the Mess Hall, whistling a tune as he swept the broom over the floor. He heard one of the doors opening and a fairly large man stepped into the Hall, wearing a silver like plate armour together with a white coloured cloak and hood. The man sat down in a corner of the mess hall and beckoned to Daigan. Daigan quickly scuffled over and welcomed the man politely. The man gave Daigan a brief nod and asked for a loaf of bread, a lump of cheese and a pitcher of water. Daigan quickly went to gather the food the man requested and brought it to him. The man gave Daigan a silver piece and thank'd him. Daigan bowed his head to the man and went back to cleaning the mess hall. After a while the man stood back up and walked over to Daigan. He told Daigan he had been following him for quite some time, and that he had a job for Daigan if he wished to work for him. Daigan explained the man he was in service of the Army, and that he could not just abandon his post. The man explained to Daigan that accepting his offer, would still mean Daigan worked for the Army, though he would not have to do these awful jobs anymore, and it would pay a lot more. Daigan did not hesitate for a second and accepted the offer. And from that day on, Daigan vanished and put the talents he had to use, in service of Gondor. Whatever happened from that particular day in the Mess Hall, to the day we are on now, is unknown. None of it is recorded and Daigan never told anyone.
