Boridhren who? The question may be reasonably asked, since little is known about him and he seems unwilling to discuss his existence prior to turning up in Ered Luin recently. The conspiratorially minded might suspect a shady past and dark secrets - a more sensible explanation may be that he has led a thoroughly dull and uninteresting life without distinguishing himself. Be that as it may, Boridhren was apparently hand-picked by the herbalist Mithaldor o Lórien to accompany him on some flora-gathering expeditions. So it would seem that Boridhren does have at least some degree of martial skill (on the other hand, some say that the impoverished scholar could not in fact afford a more qualified protector). Boridhren's relationship with his father appears to be somewhat complicated, although it is not entirely clear why. After much pondering, Boridhren recently decided not to follow his parents and his sister on their long-planned journey West, to his father's immense disappointment. This decision is said to have been influenced by a chance encounter with a certain pair of Elves in Falathlorn (who shall remain nameless here in order to spare them from Father's wrath).
