| Outward Appearance | Beneath the Greyhood is a pale, gaunt face. A single, haunted blue eye, distracts from the many red and raised scars that mar much of the area around his cheeks and temples.
A crooked nose for a crooked soul. The face of someone who has suffered much and loved little.
There is though, in his gaze, a dark strength. |

Background
The Orphan:
Ralvis was born somewhere in the South and raised by his mother. She was a troubled but loving woman, who would have died for her son - and die for him she did.
The Thief:
When his age and means permitted, Ralvis went North without thought for where to or what for.
He settled in Breeland and lived a lowly existence as a young thief and sometimes beggar. It was here that he was first treated with kindness by Talfer Grey, a man who took him in and showed him guidance.
Ralvis betrayed Talfer in an effort to claim for himself an identity, stealing many of his belongings (including his prized possession - his hooded cloak) on the morning that Talfer was to depart on urgent business he had in the East.
Ralvis reclused himself for many years before emerging as a young man, assuming his departed master's mantle of the Greyhood - unknowing to the charge and burden of that title.
The Servant:
In time he came to serve she who the Bree-Folk called the "Red Lady". She was Nalokha, and more than a woman, she was a force of nature.
Like the wind itself she swept the North, devouring those who would stand against her through force or charm. Her enemies became Ralvis'; the Eagle Guard, House Hawthorn, The Resistance and the Crimson Blades among them.
By her order he plotted, kidnapped, tricked and murdered. He was loyal, loyal to the point of madness, loyal enough to behead a great friend, his own father - Morgang.
For a time he fled into the wilderness, he had found that which he had missed for so long, found and lost.
The Right Hand:
When Ralvis returned from the wilderness beyond Bree, his troubled, dog-like heart, had turned to stone. He ascended to the Right Hand of Nalokha.
He stood by her side as she was betrayed and lost faith in those around her. New enemies rose out of the ashes of the old and the cycle went on until one day...she was gone.
The Greyhood saw little of her in the time that followed and when he did, it was not in the Black Halls of the Red Lady, but in some forgotten corner of Bree.
Her followers, the Heirs of Ruin, came under his stewardship in her absence. He led those who remained until a plot a gone wrong left him burned and scarred.
He dawned the Iron Mask and disappeared out of Bree, the Heirs limped on and fell without him.
The Master:
Ralvis has spent some years away from Bree, keeping his pockets full by carrying out unsavory jobs for those willing to pay.
In recent months he has returned, and with him have come the Alleymen.
