Y.O.T 1494 - F.A. 1

Born to Noldorin parents in Tirion in Valinor, the only child of Astalda (Q) and Iluisa (Q), his father name was Elenránë (Q) or Gilrain in Sindarin (star-wanderer) as he explored all over Aman as a child, his mother name was Himvoronwë (Q) or Thornhim in Sindarin (ever-steadfast) as she predicted (correctly) her only son would prevail against the shadow until the end, Cúthoron was a young adult when he travelled with his parents amongst the host of Fingolfin across the Helcaraxe, beguiled by stories of the wide open lands where anything could be possible.

His father was slain by a Telerin arrow in the confusion of the battle of the Alqualondë and his mother was one of many that slid into the ice water crossing over the Helcaraxë, finally reaching the Lammoth, he was amongst the victors in the battle of Lammoth using his grief of the loss of his parents as fuel to strike down the orcs that opposed him.

F.A. 1 - 472

For his valour in battle and because of the loss of his parents he was invited to join the Host of Turgon, and removed with them to Vinyamar in Nevrast, it was there he once again found his wandering nature and began learning the scouting and archers art supplementing his natural talent of walking unseen and his flourishing sword skills, when Turgon had returned from his sojourn to Tumladen, he journeyed with the others to Gondolin where he joined the house of the tree as a scout, it was here his name was coined by his scouting kinsmen as he liked to attack from above like the eagles, he was befriended by Pilinquessë a member of the house of the Swallow who taught him bow skills, and they often went hunting in the vale together. Cúthoron was also bid to bring secret messages to the other holdings Nargothrond and the Falas while aiding messengers that Turgon sent over the sea.

F.A. 472 - 510

Cúthoron joined the host of Turgon for the Nírnaeth Arnoediad (battle of the unnumbered tears) and was going to sacrifice himself during the retreat but was bidden to go by the valiant men of Dor-lómin who then formed a living wall across the fens of Serech allowing the remainder of the host to escape. Cúthoron being cut off from the rest of the host retreated to Nargothrond and being known there as a messenger of Turgon was admitted, Cúthoron remained there for a while before leaving to seek entry into Gondolin, it was such time as when the great city of Gondolin fell, he saw the great smokes of flame reaching above the mountains of Echoriath from afar and knew all he had loved was destroyed.

F.A. 510 - 545

Cúthoron, coming over the Cirith Thoronath, he came upon a patrol of orcs led by a Balrog, knowing he was no match for such a creature, he hid himself amongst the broken rocks until they had passed, once through the pass he saw first hand the destruction of the city wrought by Morgoth's army, the vale he and his friend hunted in was burned and laid waste, he saw the gates and walls of the fair city broken and torn down and walking through the smashed and cracked streets sought for his friend, remembering the house of the Swallow would be at the walls, he made his way through the destroyed city to the place his friend was accustomed to guard, finding sections of the wall collapsed in their destruction, he found no sign of Pilinquessë amongst the ruin and began to hope that she had survived, but a glint of silver caught his eye and he recognised it for her bow, broken beyond repair, knowing she would never forsake her beloved weapon willingly, he broke down and wept for his friend, taking the shattered bow and quiver as token of his deep friendship and love for her. Now knowing only sorrow remained in the city he left by the same way avoiding the patrols of orcs and Balrogs, swearing on the bow of Pilinquessë to avenge her death in his grief.

He sought to return to the other strongholds and aid them in their fight against the enemy arriving first at Doriath , only to find the once safe woods had succumbed to evil and the halls of Menegroth in ruin (des.506), then he turned west to Nargothrond (des.495) to find it utterly destroyed and abandoned, he then turned towards the Falas but it was beset by Morgoths minions and as a strangling cord that he couldn't penetrate, unknowing of any other kin he sought out the Laiquendi of Ossiriand, and there found welcome.

F.A. 545 - 587

While Cúthoron was at Ossiriand succour was sent by the Valar and the war of wrath underway, from their safe haven they saw and felt from afar the flashes of light and the groans and quakes of the earth beneath their feet and clashes of thunder as a great storm in the north, Cúthoron was want to join in the war he percieved from afar but the green elves were unwilling to go to war unequipped for such battle, though they were greatly skilled at stealth and archery. As the war laboured on, the lands about them began to tumble and fall into the encroaching sea and Cúthoron led some of the Laiquendi east over the mountain passes into Eriador.

F.A. 587 - S.A. 1693

 joined with remaining Noldor & Sindar at founding of Mithlond, accompanied Noldor to Eregion though returned frequently to old friends in Grey havens

caught up in war of Elves and Sauron, joined Gil-Galad's forces to relieve Imladris and after battles of Gwathlo and Sarn Ford briefly makes his home at Imladris and keeps surrounding area free of incursion of evil

resumed travelling between old friends at Mithlond and Imladris, hears of Lothlorien and travels through Moria to visit the mallorn, also visits Eryn Galen and Fangorn forest

S.A. 3429 - 3441

 joined Elronds forces in war of the last alliance

T.A 1 - 1975

acts as escort for any that seek passage to the Grey havens, joins Glorfindels army and takes part in the battle of Fornost

T.A. 1975 onwards

resumes old task of travelling between elven strongholds keeping the ways clear of incursion of evil, visits old haunts possibly for the final time
