| Outward Appearance | He is a good looking young man, with short black hair, and deep, rich blue eyes. He is tall, standing at 6'5, and is well built, being as strong as an ox and as fit as an athlete. This he gets from his adventuring and fighting. He wears well kept, but old armour, wrapped in leather for stealth and built for speed, not strength. His sword however, is a thing of beauty. A two-handed long sword, perfectly forged and with elegant engravings along the blade. It's kept well polished and well sharpened. No matter his attire or surroundings, Taraborn carries his sword on his back, and a vicious looking dirk on his belt. During his times in an inn, he'll often carry his lute, strung across his back. Despite the state of his armour, when out of gear Taraborn dresses quite well. After a recent, and particularly successful and rewarding venture, Taraborn spent some of his reward on new clothes to help him woo the ladies (if he wasn't paying). If it weren't for his accent and personality, one might think him more well off than just a mercenary. |

Background
A traveling mercenary from Gondor, Taraborn has fought in a multitude of situations. Whether in an army, on his own, or alongside a group of comrades. His skills with his sword are honed to a high level, and his fighting style revolves around swiftness than strength.
Taraborn was born to a blacksmith of Minas Tirith, though never met his mother who died in child birth. Not this had much of an impact on Taraborn, his father always being there to help him and look after his son. Despite his fathers best efforts, Taraborn was something of a disappointment, though his father never let on. For one matter, Taraborn could not wield a hammer. At all. Anything in a forge he went near he broke or ruined somehow. He managed to burn his father on multiple occasions, and soon it was decided that an apprentice from another family would be better suited for the job. The other matter was who Taraborn begun to hang around with. Rather than spend his time with the respectable children of merchants, scholars and the tower guard, Taraborn rather more preferred the street rats of the poorer folk in Minas Tirith, using his height and strength to become something of a prominent figure among them.
However his father was always proud of his sons talents, with a sword and a lute. He never asked how ten year old Taraborn acquired a lute, not wanting to hear the answer, but he provided swords for him to train with. Taraborn spent his time in the yard with the forge, swinging his sword against makeshift dummies and his friends alike. By the time his father died, Taraborn was an agile but strong young man, quick with the sword and eager to brawl. Unable to take up his fathers trade, Taraborn sold his the house and the forge to his fathers apprentice, using the money to purchase some armour and setting out into the world. He took only a few things with him, his newly acquired armour, his lute, and his sword. The sword was the last his father had made, and was one of his finest, a beautiful longsword, with etchings along it to bring good fortune to it's wielder.
So Taraborn went on his journeys, through Gondor, Rohan, even to Dale for a period, and then West towards Eriador, where he settled, for a time, with the Bloody Dawn sell sword company. Feeling his time with the ragged group was over, Taraborn parted ways with them, though still friends with the likes of Taala and Eroforth.
Taraborn, if described in but a few words, is a scoundrel, a rogue, even a bit of a rascal. He has morals, or at least some. They would rarely be seen by another, as it is often that he toes the line of becoming a brigand. This bold, cocky, and audacious man is very often at the fore front of any trouble. He will stand his ground like a stubborn fool unless persuaded by a woman that it's not necessary. At this point his stubborn and somewhat aggressive demeanor would change to that of a flirtatious and charming man. With a warm and charming smile, the glint in his eyes, and cheeky comments and flirts, Taraborn makes for something of a skilled womanizer.
