Primmrose comes from a family with a long tradition of forestry and woodworking, in which tradition she has followed. She used to help her father in the forests, until her younger brothers were old enough to take over, after which she struck out on her own, now having attained the rank of Grand Master Forester.

Primmrose's great grandfather had sixteen children, all of whom also tended to have large families, so Primmrose has many relations in the Shire. She sometimes jokes, with a touch of sadness, that every time she meets a nice hobbit lad who she wants to get to know better, he turns out to be a cousin.

Primmrose is also a singer and songwriter, a regular entertainer at Green Dragon Fridays, and a keen angler. Combining her passion for fishing and her skill at woodworking, she hand crafts lebethron fishing rods; her rods are well known in the Shire, and even farther afield.
