The Hobbit Market - A Poem

The market place in Michel Delving square
It's full of many finely crafted things
And younger Hobbits really should go there
As well as those who like to dance or sing!

You'll know it when you hear the hobbits sing
For two days every fortnight it is there
And many useful goods the tradesfolk bring
The market place in Michel Delving square

For food and drink, and things for you to wear
Such lovely clothes, and necklaces and rings
And weapons too, and tools and other wares
It's full of many finely crafted things

From larger goods to little bits of string
There's lots of lovely items everywhere
And lots of fun once things are in full swing
So younger Hobbits really should go there

It's less a market, more a joyful faire
In Summer, Autumn, Winter or in Spring
A place to go for those who like to share
As well as those who like to dance or sing

So celebrate the joy the market brings
And marvel at the finely crafted wares
It really is a place that's fit for kings
We'll raise a glass to all the hobbits there
The Market Place!
