The search for new recruits

This journey across the sea in to the west, it went well I am glad to say. My main objective, protect Miss yule, has been reached so far. She is sometimes a handful, when she starts wandering from safe roads into wilderness paths without notifying me, but no harm (safe for a spiderbite that has been cured again) has been done. Well, that's hunters for you, always looking for shortcuts and scenic routes! But she is alright as an employer. She arranged a nice tent to be set up for me, to be at shouting distance when she is at her home, a wagon stationed currently in Waymeet. And on our travels we have time to talk about matters, both significant and trivial. I love showing her the sights of the Shire. She looks at them with wondering eyes like you would see on children who first see, let's say, the splendour of the Party Tree.

My secondary objective is to help support the kinship Shire Rose, of which I am now also a member. Without losing sight of my priorities I am now sometimes away from the direct presence of Miss Yule to look for some new recruits that have been announced. I have been asked to meet them and see if they would be suitable members of Shire Rose. Currently I am looking for two promising young hobbits, called Dalai and Freydo. They were last seen near the Southfarthing racetracks when there was a masquerade ball going on. I watched the activities from a distance, together with Miss Yule, but we decided it would make no sense to try and approach them with so many surrounding them and while they were masked as well. So we left the site again.

I'd best write them a short invitation I think, to set a place and date for a meeting.
