Names of the past

I often find myself wondering what happened to some of those I have met along the way, I know the fate of some, but others are... a mystery? No, not really, just people who faded away over time.

Daegond is one of those, I miss his antics, but ever since his spirit departed these shores, memories of his many antics is all I am left with. Especially fun was when he had seafood delivered to Imladris, oh my, the number of eldar with growling and grumbling stomachs upon that.... I miss him, I miss him indeed.

I wonder what happened to many of those of the Laiquendi I met over the many years, people like Seifor, Tanes, Taramthir, Whindaer, Clill, Isoldis, Malainel... so many of those who once bore the mark of the green elves are now passed beyond the veil of the west, some remain, but are hardly ever seen.

Andarne of the Malledhrim is another, he was a good friend.

Anglachelm, Tindir, Manadhlaer...so many names, so many people once met on a regular basis, now relegated to memories. I know lady Manadhlaer still roams these lands, perhaps I shall see her at a time in Imladris.

A saying goes that you never truly fade, as long as someone remembers you, that you live on, even after passing. I like to think this holds true.

I wonder how many of them happen to think of me at one point or another, and whether the memory is one of disdain, as is most likely, or one of fondness.

I think for most, I am as forgotten as a leaf seen falling from a tree during the first of winter. A passing and fleeting thing, that is but another symbol of time gone by.
