Morning, a little fly lands on a white flat cap mushroom growing out of a fallen tree. Though it doesn’t stay there long as it flies away when movement comes closer. In comes the brown clad hobbitlass with her big hat. She plucks the mushroom from the tree and gives it a sniff, nodding. “Yes, this will do nicely” before she puts it into her backpack. Quickly she moves on to the next one nearby and then the next one, all with some surprising speed. A harvest successfully done, and all while following her rabbit Hopwë. The two make quite a team.
Though the wilds are dangerous and one day in a more overgrown part of the forest, two trolls were talking and arguing. Seems they were hungry and only had one deer to eat. The deer however seems to be still alive, and lying on the ground, scared. Feay knows that this can be tricky, but she places down her backpack and looks around in it. “What a perfect situation to use this” she thought to herself, as she pulled out a single red mushroom from her pack. She gave it a good rub until it started to glow and then threw it at the tree branches above the trolls.
BANG, a ball of fire erupts when the mushroom makes impact with the tree branches, the fire quickly consuming said branches and causing sunlight to glow down at the trolls. Before the trolls could act even on the little brown menace appearing, they turned to stone. Seeing a chance, the deer quickly ran off.
Nodding to herself, thinking she did a good job and helped the poor animal, when she noticed a small ember falling down beside her, she followed the embers path up when she noticed that the fire she started earlier.. Went a little bit out of control. “Uh-oh”. She said, walking back to grab her pack and after that she looked at the fire again, it went a bit too wild. “Ooh noo~ heh… oh boy…” she exclaimed, part enjoying the fire and part worried she might just burn down a forest. She quickly started making her way downhill, now running. The fire was catching up with her. “Quick Hopwë!” She said to her rabbit who was already way ahead of her.
But then she suddenly lost her footing and started tumbling down and suddenly she landed through a bunch of branches right into a roaming orc band’s camp.
“Oi Fhúg, what we ‘avin here, blut.” Exclaimed the first orc, “Dunno, Hókh, look like dinner, innit blut.” said the other. “Oi! Dun act dum, food mine!” stated the last orc. There are three orcs now. But likely more to be later.
Quickly Feay gained her composure and put on her sales pitch. “Ah greetings travellers! May I interest you in a–” Before she could finish she got smacked and knocked out by one of the orcs. “Dum blut think she talkin, but food it is, innit?”, “Oi! Wait for the others, or I gut you, fam.”.
Knocked out, Feay was bound by the orcs while they waited for their hunting party to return, all while Hopwë the rabbit, looked on in the distance with a plan in its little furry brain.
And once the orc party reunites and they talk over their ‘dinner’, the captain of the orc party agrees to make first towards the old ruins on top of the hill. Because there no one will bother them. And Hopwë follows them, all while the orcs are completely unaware.
