After a long and harrowing journey, the Dwarves of Durin's Folk alongside Greengrove delve into the deepest caverns of Moria to finally defeat the evil shadow monster that had been threatening the forests. With its defeat, the promise the Dwarves had made to Greengrove was fulfilled, and Khazad-dum was now one dead monster closer to being fully reclaimed by the Dwarves.
