During one of her travels, the Forngarmo has decided to stop for the night at the camp of her kinsman, Mincham. Upon reaching a close proximity of the camp she has spotted that there seems to be a small gathering of people around the campfire. She found herself a good vatage point and then glanced at her wolf, Valor who was now also carefully watching the people around the fire. The Ranger looked at Valor "Go, scout the area..." - She whispered to the wolf and watched it run around the camp, scouting.
Meanwhile at the camp a woman seemed to move an injured man around. It seemed to be a serious matter since the man looked really pale to the ranger. She seemed to remember his face but wasn't sure enough to reveal herself.
- "So you have met and spoken with a tree? You sure about this Ancthan?" - She then heard a woman speaking towards the injured fellow. And that's when she was sure about the identity of the familiar man, friend from the past whom she has recognized. Yet she has decided to stay on guard.
- "Met, yes. I... I don't think I spoke to it though. That... I think that was Meriya who did that. ...Though I might be misremembering that." - she heard then her friend's voice. It seemed to her that he really has been through much since they last saw each other and wasn't even sure he would remember her.
- "oh, who was Meriya?" - She then heard another familiar name as the other woman from their group asked. She watched Valor approaching her friend of old to check on the scent and wondered if she will recognize him.
- "She was... umm... She was an incredible person. Kind and considerate, one of the leaders of th-" - The man then started to answer but stopped upon seeing Valor sniffing at him. Then she saw her friend extending a hand towards the wolf. -"You're not going to bite my hand off are you...?" - She heard him askin towards the wolf and kept herself from laughing somehow. She could imagine that an appearance of a white wolf out of nowhere might not be something considered safe by anyone. Valor however did recognize the man and licked his hand in recognition, further confirming to the Forngarmo that he was indeed her friend of old. The group seemed to notice the wolf's collar but they unfortunately weren't able to recognize it, apart of the symbol of the Dunedain. One of the group members started waving something at Valor trying to shoo her away but the wolf instead gave her a puzzled look. She didn't seem threatened by it, but more like confused by it so she stayed where she was.
- "Befony, don't hurt it. It's probably just looking for all that meat that's been cooking. It won't attack if we don't hurt it."- another member of the group then spoke and all of the present, Forngarmo included looked as Valor started eating the meat that she has been given.
- "Now, someone trained that wolf." - Another then spoke.
- "Oh he must belong to someone. Be someones comapanion like Bandit is to Mr Quicksilver" - They started to talk further about the matters unknown to the ranger.
- "Yeah. Tamed and trained. Though I can't imagine who'd try and tame a wolf." - Ancthan added. The wolf, after she has done eating has returned to Ancthan's side guarding him further.
- "oh I wonder where it's owner is? You lost Mr wolf. Lost and hungry? Moma give Mr Wolf another piece of meat. " - one of them then asked.
- "Doesn't look unfed. Looks like he's been well looked after. Know of quite a few woodsmen Coombe way who would very much like that beautiful pelt." - Mother of one of them - as Forngarmo thought - then replied. As Valor looked back at her owner, one of the group member followed her gaze, spotting the ranger nearby.
- "I think our new visitor might know who it belongs to." - The woman then spoke. The ranger woman then motioned to Valor and she ran back to her side.
- " Hello! Nice wolf you got there. What's its name?" - Another of the group then called out. The Forngarmo approached slowly, keeping her guard up as she did not know what to expect. Mother of the one who just spoke looked at her in a unfriendly manner. - "Will she bite?" - Her daughter then asked.
- "She won't attack unless she feels I or an ally is endangered." - Forngarmo then answered, inspecting the group members.
- "Are you another ranger?" - Another woman then asked. Forngarmo kept thinking for a while as this was a very confidential thing to her. Since she saw her kinsman, Mincham trusting the group, she decided to do the same.
- I am indeed. - She answered shortly. Her friend wasn't able to recognize her though so she didn't insist on that. - "What happened to your friend over here?" - she asked calmly.
- "Rightly, we don't know. A wizard came to us to inform us that Ancthan needed help. He told us where to look, how long we had left, but not much more than that. ...When we found him he looked like death had already claimed him" - Another member then explained.
- "I recognize your name, Ancthan. And because of that reunion I will do everything I can to help you." - Forngarmo then revealed and watched Mincham smile at her words.
The group then decided to talk with the ranger about a strange wizard and a spirit or shade that he had mentioned. They had talked alot about what to do next and so it concluded. The Forngarmo will escort the group away from the Fields of Fornost and then leave on her own to find the troublesome shade to restore peace in the Northern Lands.
