Self Notes 13 - The Golden Daisy

The sound of the pen moving on the parchment was filling the air. Then it suddenly stopped as grey blue looks fell onto the golden daisy which was lying on the writing desk for a while. Slim fingers reached out to touch its delicate petals.

Tinuchen…” she thought not knowing what she should do. Although he kept writing, it was the very first time they have met after many months of his absence and it was obvious that his journeys gave him insight… maybe more… Still when they have met he didn’t hesitate to hold her tight in his arms. Reiven sighed out loud. Although she understood that because of his muteness, he was more used to express himself through his acts, she was not.

“There is nothing to be bothered” muttered like trying to convince her thoughts. The grey blue looks fell onto the little flower once more. To the golden daisy which he picked from the green hills of the shire, just to gave her. Her eyes looked cloudy as she recalls how he left it into her palm writing that it was a gift like his heart and she is the one to decide what to do with them.

Reiven flinched her fingers and stood up abruptly causing her seat fall behind.

“He must be misjudging his feelings” thought she elf “He is too young to know the difference between strong feelings like admiration and love”.

She took the flower from its resting place and walk towards to the wide windows. Morning breeze was still chilly and caused Reiven shiver a little. Like and offering to that breeze she raised an arm and reached out her clenched hand. Her slim fingers opened slowly to let the wind blow away the little flower. She watched it sailing in circles freely… “That must be” she thought “what I need to do”
