"The Stewards of Gondor protected the Anor-Stone well, for it was one of their most valuable tokens. It was located in the highest peek of the city, the Tower of Ecthelion. No Steward used the dangerous palantir, for no one knew who would be at the other end. That is, no Steward but Denethor II."
