After the reported death of her friend Mallossel, Marchwarden Lothuialwen successfully (if foolishly) got herself kicked out of Lothlorien for a year's time to serve as a messenger for the more Western Elvish settlements as she searched for news of her friend's fate and in particular for Cardanith, who she blamed. These are the stories and letters of what happened when she began to find answers and of the interactions she has had during that time.
