Glandaron heaved back on the bellows, pumping the forge fire full of air, watching the flames roar to life and heat the steel nestled in the bed of glowing coals. He kept a close eye on the steel, sweat running down his back from teh intense heat. He grabbed the steel out of the fire with his tongs, moving over quickly to the anvil to start working it into shape.
His mind started to wander as he worked. His thoughts drifted to the man he met recently, who flipped his life and his desires upsidedown in a near instant. He doesn't recall when he was last looked at with passion and desire until he met this man.
bang bang bang bang
thud
He sighs and snaps back to reality as he hits the anvil instead of the steel. Glandaron let a few more strikes hit the steel. He turns to stick it back in the forge, grabbing the chain and hauling back to bring the fire back to life, sinking into the thoughts as he focused on the fire and steel.
His mind drifted back to golden hair splayed out like radient sunbeams from a man made of pure sunlight. His blue eyes locked with Glan's own grey ones; like the ocean's relentless waves and tides breaking down the solid stone of the shore. Not unlike how this man broke down Glan, laying out bare the very essence of what made them and drew them to each other.
He grabbed the tongs, mindlessly pulling the hot steel out, only half paying attention to what he was doing, as his mind was still focused on the Stag. He fumbles a bit, dropping the hot steel.
Instinctively, he reaches suddenly to catch the glowing hot steel with his bare hands. It took a solid moment to realize he was burning, fire searing up through his arm. Glandaron let out a loud yell in pain, casting the steel down. He ran over to the bucket of water, drapping down to his knees and submerging his entire arm into the water, his chest heaving as he pants, teeth gritted in pain. Another smith came running in to see what the shout was about, "Aron, lad, are you- Oh, shi-"
Glandaron gave a shaky laugh, "Got distracted, nothing too serious... I think..."
