It was normal lively evening in the Prancing Pony. Tucona was walking on the hallway toward backrooms, to read some book on a peaceful spot. On the way, however, a man clothed on guard's uniform greeted her.
- Afternoon, lady! Do you happen to be connected to killing dwarves?
Tucona stares at the guard upset.
- Killing dwarves ?! Do I look like someone who -!
- Ah, perhaps not, but what do you work as then?
- A healer...
- And you have not happened to have healed a criminals? That would mean serious consequenses to you.
Tucona fell silent. It had never occured to her, that healing a criminal would be a crime. 'What to do then? Let someone bleed to death or die for some horrible infection?! How could someone ask me that?' she comptemplated in agitation, feeling the irritation arise on her mind.
Tucona stammered:
- Since when has that been a crime?
Guard kept talking on his vigorous manner:
- Think about it: if you'd heal a murderer, he could go and kill many more people!
Tucona protested:
- But, sincere love and care would surely touch his heart! He could change!
Guard snorted sarcastically and watched the hallway behind Tucona. Tucona was just about to defend her viewpoint when she saw Seraile. Tucona forgot all about debating, smiled at Seraile and he answered her smile.
- And what are your names? guard demanded to know.
- I am Tucona
Then Tucona and Seraile answered simultaneously:
- Tom Thistleberry, my friend
- Eoghan Hammerhand
Guard glanced at them one after another. Tucona and Seraile looked at each others with "oops"-expression.
- Now, now, this is very confusing! guard stated.
Seraile quickly explained:
- Actually my full name is Eoghan Tom Thistleberry Hammerhand. My parents didn't get to agreement about who's name they would give me so they gave me both.
- Eoghan is rather odd name for a woman, guard commented.
Guard questioned him about homeland and why he wears black clothing and some other things... Eventually he did swallow the explanations. After a short, vague chat guard bid them farewells.
But Tucona didn't get the discussion out of her mind. She had always believed herself to be an lawful citizen, and proud of it. Now she questioned the law. She thought: if I am a criminal by healing wounded, and helping the desperate, then I am a proud criminal.
