Thoughts, Events and Feelings #15

My task is set, yet my destiny is still unseen.

His Grace, Lord Elrond and I ventured to the Eastern Porch, of his home. I am no mind-reader, but I could tell he seemed concerned, and his mind was heavy. He spoke of my task ahead of me, it appears I am to stay in Imladris with him until the Crownless becomes King. I was unaware of this... Ranger of the North, Son of Arathorn, but Lord Elrond insists it remains a secret, to those unknown to The Council of Imladris. He told me that other clans of men know of this, and they are doing their part to protect the soon-to-be monarch, defenders of the Gondorian Crown!

Whilst during my stay in Imladris, I am to assist Lord Elrond, once again. I am to teach the newborns that are born in Imladris, and other Elven newborns the arts of Physicinary, a path of healing, only by using herbs, and other plants found within the wild. His Grace has also asked of me to assist with tactical plans for the defences of Imladris.

I am glad he did not ask me to venture to a different country this time around. Bree was hard enough with my Ambassador duties there. As far as i'm aware, no one else is to take my place as the Ambassador of Imladris to Bree. It seems that the entire Council of Imladris are to return to Rivendell at once, to focus on our main priorities.

I am instructed to begin these tasks after the winter-months, although, for now I shall rest within the refuge, perhaps I shall write a book on Physicinary during the spare time that I have.

I have been thinking of my wife lately, I still have hope that she is out there... awaiting for me to find her. She was taken away from me by Orcs, during an assult within Eregion, I instructed Rangers of my kin to attempt to find her, they told me they had managed to see that she escaped the Orc's grasp, she was followed, but the Orcs had took a different path, to the east, whilst she ventured south-east.

They gave me their promise that there is a high chance she is still out there. I shall continue to bare hope within my heart, after all, that is all I have left.

I hope to see some of my dearest friends from Bree to come to Imladris as guests to visit, but for now I shall wait.

Destinies cannot be rewritten, or discovered, no matter how intelligent one is. We all must let things take their course, and reflect upon it.
