I shall begin this letter by saying what glad tidings it was, to read that you yet lived and have not sailed away with your kin either.
However, it would be a lie if I did not say what an utter shock it was to receive your letter. I shall save going into detail until we stand face to face.
I shall be coming to see you as soon as I may. My sister, Carria, will be accompanying me as well.
I shan't need your coin, so I send it all back to you along with this letter.
I do hope you are well, despite you speaking of injuries. Heavens know every time I see you, you have some new scar or wound to show.
