Act III Part VIII Passing Notes

Act III, Part VIII: Passing Notes

Nigh a fortnight passed ere Tinnurion and Thirenel parted ways, and when at last they did, they did as friends. But many moons and many lonely wanderings would it take till their next meeting. Still, it were a blessing upon the mood of Tinnurion, for while he could not wholly trust one of the Noldor and many grievances still took his mind hostage when thinking or speaking of said folk, it was the closest he had been with anyone in a long time.

Yet their conversations did not cease entirely, as upon their departure they decided to leave notes at a designated spot, there where the Limlight meets the Great River, a place both could find easily, but not without great effort, for it lay many miles between their hiding places and the road was not safe. So it was that they exchanged words for many years to come, though with much delay between every note.

Tinnurion had by now returned to a Mirkwood that had grown more dangerous. On more than one occasion did he have to contend with the spiders of the wood. But his house remained largely untouched. Perchance they remembered the fell screams of Saewren whose severed head stood still mounted upon a spear. It was around this time that the kingdoms of men lay at odds with each other, both to the north and the south. And whatever evil lurked within the ruins of Oropher's ancient fortress, it was a place Tinnurion avoided upon his travels at all cost.
