(See Interview with Taite - Part 1 for the idea behind this.)
Part 1: The Basics
1. What is your full name? Brynleigh.
2. Where and when were you born? I was born on my father’s farm, just outside the capitol, Edoras. Twenty-five years ago now.
3. Who are/were your parents? Éohard and Cwenhild. They are still living.
4. Do you have any siblings? No.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? I live alone. I keep a small house in Snowbourn in exchange for helping tend the city stables.
6. What is your occupation? The same. An ostler for the most part, though I can manage a stable well enough. I would prefer to return to my work as a trainer one day.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. Must I? Such an odd request. I am short for a woman of the Riddermark. My hair is quite pale yellow. My eyes are blue. I would not say I am possessed of a muscular build.
8. To which social class do you belong? More well to do than some. I am thankful for the means that my father provided for me as a child.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Thankfully, no.
10. Are you right- or left-handed? I am right handed.
11. What does your voice sound like? A peculiar thing to ask. Voices often sound different to another pair of ears, they say. I have been told it is a pleasant and feminine voice.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? I cannot think of anything immediately.
13. What do you have in your pockets? The key to my cottage and my coin purse.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I don’t think so. No one has ever mentioned that I do, at least. When I was younger, I know I blushed easily and people would sometimes make a game of seeing how badly they could make me blush.
Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general? Mmm. I was expected to learn quickly, work hard, and obey my father and mother. I did not mind the work. I enjoyed learning how to care for horses, to train them, and to heal their ailments. I was outdoors a lot, and I enjoyed that. I would say I was a fairly happy child, though my home was not one that I would call warm or loving.
16. What is your earliest memory? My father scolding me for climbing into the hayloft. I must have been very small.
17. How much schooling have you had? My father was my teacher, and an excellent one he was. Unlike many of our kin, he is able to read and write, and passed that onto me. Living near the capitol and engaging in the horse-trade allowed me to encounter many people, though I usually kept quiet and simply observed while he carried out his business.
18. Did you enjoy school? If you mean, did I enjoy learning from my father; yes, I did.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? From the same; my father.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. I admired my father’s skill with horses. I would not say I had any other people I especially admired.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I was a compliant child. I was quiet and obedient and I think that served me well. It would not have been productive to be troublesome or argumentative with my parents.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? In that, I have been most blessed. I fell in love with horses as soon as I was around them. I’ve never wanted to do anything else but care for them.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? Roaming about the farm when I was not expected to be working or doing chores. Climbing about in the barn. Exploring the fields and rivers and sometimes playing there with other children.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? I imagine I seemed quiet and docile to most. And perhaps a good student, willing and disciplined.
25. As a child, were you popular? I don’t believe so. I don’t think I was disliked, particularly. But I was somewhat quiet and reserved.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss? A young farmhand boy. I was sixteen.
27. Are you a virgin? That is rather a bold thing to ask! I have been married, so no, I am not.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. I am certainly not! *laughter* Such things do not exist, save for old tales told to children round the fire. I trust you mean this question as a jest?
