Background

Some years ago, Radagast, long a friend and tutor to the Woodmen of the Vales of the Anduin, spoke of a threat far west, over the Misty Mountains, he wished to move against, and sought escorts. After a journey into Eriador, the Brown Wizard spent some time amongst the Eglain, as well as on the wanderings that wizards are prone to. The Woodmen stand ready to assist him, but as their time in the West is longer than they expected, they've founded a small settlement under the eaves of the Chetwood, a home that feels surprisingly familiar to them. Though they occasionally visit the nearby towns and homesteads for trade, they mostly keep to themselves and cleave to one another.

OOC Notes:

We have a kinship house at 8 Long Street in Stanlinch whose purpose is to stand in for the clanhouse on the eaves of the Chetwood. Roleplay will happen there and anywhere else people want. RP can happen any time, including the weekly clan moot. Participants will include both those who came across the mountains with Radagast, and Bree-land locals who are friends or have business with the clan.

Joining the Discord is very helpful, but not required. Players who wish to keep secret who their other characters are, are encouraged to use a web client to access the Discord with a separate account. Everyone is free to out their own alts, but not anyone else's. Also, /joinchannel Woodmen to keep in touch in-game even when on alts or if not in the kinship.

This kinship is adamantly inclusive and LGBTQ-positive. Those who don't find this a comfortable concept are not welcome.

Our adventures are set in a pre-war timeline while Radagast is still west of the Misty Mountains with the Eglain.

Clan moot logs are available on the clan moot LiveJournal.
