My dearest Tilton,
It would seem you are having quite the adventure. This, dog like, creature? I assure you it is highly unlikely to be warg, for they are unlikely to respond to any words other than kill. Though I am glad you have not come to harm from your encounter with it, and thankful your lady love had wits enough to bring what could have been a messy situation to a safe end.
I know not really what to say of your encounter with the family, other than it could have gone far worse. Given your account, they seem very amicable people, welcoming and accepting. Though I do wonder if you have told them the full nature of your visit, I look forward to hearing how that went.
The lands that you have visited are not strange to me, for several years past I traveled there with a love. The lake that was never ending. It is a beautiful land, ancient, where many mysteries are still kept and the people there either plundering the past or trying to protect it. I might return one day, and should you become more familiar with the area, perhaps have you as my guide.
Bree is, as it was. The towns excitement consisting of run away pigs, maidens falling at the feet of pretty foreign men, and ale almost constantly flowing from Barlimans kegs.
Our mutual friend is, shall we say, keeping me company more often than not, and sends his regards. No doubt you can pry information from him on your return.
Keep safe, both of you.
Dernwynn
