Log 1: Entry 24

The translation of my father's notes goes much slower than I had expected. This isn't like his usual work. Why he decided to crypt this more than other notes, I'm uncertain. The pattern isn't the same.
I have managed to translate the first sentence fully. I'll use it as my guide for the rest of it, but the work will be slow

The patient, a young female, has agreed to an experimental treatment using the seeds of the Balrog's Breath.

I can see the recipe for the potion, but I can't put it together, not yet. Nor have I been able to see the result of this experiment. What happens in those hours, the days. Time is limited.

It's hard to think with so many distractions. Mister Bíld insisted to examine my leg, despite me telling him it was not needed. He threatened to quit. I can't allow that now, he's too valuable to me at this time. He has restitched the wound and the infection should be gone. I'll keep a close eye on it.

Jackilyn is still in a mood. She argued with me, told me that she was unhappy, but I have no time now to figure out what shall make her happy. It was calming to have her sit here while I worked, until she began to irritate me with noises. I was forced to ask her to leave. The woman has been acting odd since.
Miss Silver threw an unnecessary insult my way. I'm still uncertain why it was done. I hadn't insulted her, by her own words, but the comment seemed to be made in regards Jackilyn's behaviour. She holds me at fault for the woman's mood and claims I am supposed to fix it. I'm still not certain why I'm held responsible for another person's mood. Perhaps it's a woman thing, it's rather unclear to me. I recall my brother telling me often that women never made sense, I might be starting to understand why he clung to that claim.
It's a problem for later.

I will take a small break and return to my father's notes, try and figure out his pattern. Get the recipe and understand what awaits if I do this myself.
