The Rings of the Black Steel

Gæded had invited Athlenah. Caithryth and Arthasdir to her house to have pie. They talked and then Sigfread decided to join them uninvited. Fiontann barged in at some point, sending Grim, Gæded's large black guard dog into a frenzy, but Gæded calmed him down. Fiontann told everyone that he was to leave for the study, that Sigfread later explained was the Drunkard's Study, The Fateless Wanderers old safe place. Then Fiontann took out a pouch and handed Gæded a ring that was black and had two red crossed swords and two red stripes either side of the swords. The ring of the Second in Command. Fiontann handed the others rings too - Caithryth, Athlenah and Sigfread got one with only the red crossed swords: the ring for members of The Black Steel. Arthasdir got a ring with three red stripes next to the swords: that is the ring of an officer of The Black Steel.
