His Mother died not long after his labor. He lived with his father through his young years, though he does not remember it. His father who had the blood of the old kingdom of Arthedain, sent both Arthasdir and his brother Illomer to be raised and kept by the rangers of Ithilien, One day however when the boys where still young they were rushed away from Gondor, moved quietly to the north by a group of strangers and given to the descendants of Arnor. Arthasdir asked many questions but neither those he left or those he joined answered.  His mentor, a strong and wise man, became somewhat of a father figure to Arthasdir, teaching him the arts of combat, stealth and survival. during a test of strength in his teenage years he was attacked by a bear, having just escaped with his life, he is left with a permanent reminder in the form of a scar on the right side of his face. Neither of the pair ever formally swore to the rangers, despite their time with them. His brother Illomer left for war near the same time Arthasdir was sent as part of a company to assist the sons of Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir, who made a lasting impression upon Arthasdir and he trained his skills off their own.. It was during this period that Arthasdir gained knowledge of the death of his father months after they boys had left the east. Arthasdir dares not speak of it maybe due to embarrassment, resentment or fear. It was not long after that Arthasdir abandoned the north. Arthasdir served as a member of The Eagle Guard, however not much has been heard of the company for a long time and he seldom ever speaks of them. After a his time with the guard, little was seen or heard of him. Some time later he seemed to appear from the wilds once more, this time finding himself in the company of Fiontann and The Fateless Wanderers. He traveled far with them until the company was separated and himself disappeared. However once again He appears, within the ranks of The Black Steel, ready for anything.
