Outward Appearance

Plintra is short, and rather stocky, even by Hobbit lass standards. Nothing too eye catching, especially among the taller folk who think most Hobbits look alike anyway. Her Stoorish heritage is clear, her broad features and such, as well as her love of water and fishing.

Her skin is tanned, both naturally and through much exposure to the sun, with wavy black hair she takes pride in keeping well groomed. She tries to dress nice, though a life of travel and other activities make it a bit impractical at times. She does tend to keep a supply of either fresh made food, or ingredients to make some, typically in a sturdy backpack laden with cooking supplies.

She often smells of sweet pipeweed, a habit she picked up young and seems to have stuck well. Thankfully she has good taste, pleasant, floral, leaves mainly.

Background

Plintra was always rather queer. She loved to explore and travel, having been raised on tales not just of her Shire family, but of the branch of the family tree that actually remained in the Misty Mountain area rather than fully migrate to the Shire in the race's early ages. These stories inspired her, teaching her that her people were great explorers who made a legacy of travel and seeing the world.

She, of course, has no ill will to The Shire. It's her home, and she truly loves it, but ever since she was small she dreamed of distant lands. Not to say she was unhappy at home. She actually thrived quite well among the farms and rivers of The Shire. Even if she did cause a ruckus when she's take a boat all the way up to the northern Shire from her family's southern homestead...

She also always had a bit of sticky fingers. Never for anything TOO valuable, pies, snacks, the occasional scarecrow...Regardless of scale, she developed a taste for theft, and the skills to back that desire up. She eventually found that she could make a valuable trade selling her services both as a budding chef and fisher, and as a burglar. Hobbits had grudges, and desires, two things that could be aided by one with an affinity for skulking and liberating people of baubles. Of course. she never got into truly grim work, not even talking jobs that would 'bore' her by targeting the elderly and other 'easy' targets. For her the thrill was just as important as the actual prize.

Eventually she grew into a fine young woman. Rambunctious, with a slightly shady side, but respectable enough, and well known for her fine grilled fish and roasted taters. That was when she decided she should leave. It was nothing personal, but she felt she had done what she can in The Shire. She returns often, to tell tales, show off her fine 'exotic' recipes and goods, and to take care of the homestead. Still, she enjoys her travels, expanding her personal horizons with every trip. She dreams most of one day finding her distant family who remained near the mountains they loved so.
