Tengwar script, written in an elegant yet heavy hand sprawls over a sheet of fine pale parchment, embossed along the top and bottom margins with what appear to be vines of roses. The stationary is expensive, yet used with little care to relay a scant response.
Landeg,
This morning the chain of the red agate necklace you gave me last spring broke. I tried replacing it with one from a different piece of jewelry, but it was too tight around my neck. Perhaps we could find a jeweler and have it fixed? It has been too long since we ventured to the craftsmen’s tier together.
I found a book at The Thirsty Seer which reminded me of you. Perhaps when I am finished reading I shall send it your way.
I never seem to have much to say when I sit down and write. Ink is a pale substitute for more than my voice, I’m afraid. I am still unaccustomed to writing, even after all this time. I think, instead, I shall pay you a visit at the Shield. It is far easier for me to come to you.
Yours,
