Mia

I couldn’t tell anyone I was leaving, I needed to do this for myself. For Caliko as well. I traveled north, when I finally reached the downs, my search began. It wasn’t very add to find the camp, where I was met by Aghir. He gave me a smile and welcomed me into camp, the others in the camp kept about their days, but stared occasionally. Then I finally met her, she was thirteen, dark hair, green eyes. She looked just like Caliko, she stared at me as I stared back, she seemed a bit taken back at my staring but I couldn’t help it. She placed her arrows down which she was working on. “Who are you and what do you require?” She was bright, I could tell from how she spoke, also strong by the way she carried herself. It was odd but this feeling came over me quickly. The feeling that I loved her and I’d do anything to protect her. I looked to Aghir to give us a moment. He departed and I pulled my mask down, she stepped back. She obviously saw the resemblance of Caliko and I. I told her my name and then told her I was her uncle. Her smile was just like Caliko’s as well. She hugged me and it was like all my troubles went away. We stayed and talked for hours, I had Cal’s old journal so I shared the stories of Caliko’s and my adventures in Dol Amroth. I stayed at the camp for a few days but I knew I couldn’t hold out much longer. She deserved to know the truth, I took her out of camp and we walked around the area, finally I told her. I told her I knew what happened to her father, she stopped and turned to me. Then I told her the truth..I Killed him. She reached back quickly to take an arrow from her quiver and she launched it to my chest, I felt the arrow pierce and I fell to a knee. She told me she hated me, I was scum. All my happiness faded as she shot another arrow to my shoulder. She ran back to camp, I stayed where I was. I was not surprised by her reaction nor do I blame her. Aghir came and found me. I couldn’t stay with Mia, no matter what I thought. I would only cause her pain, but the love I felt when I first met her never left and it won’t ever leave. All these years I never knew she even existed, it was like seeing my brother again. I only wish I had more time with her but my presence would only hurt her, atleast she knows the truth now. Aghir helped patch me up and before I left, gave me the best gift I have ever received. It was a sketch one of the men made of Mia. I will keep it close to me forever.
