'Reaper'

In a remote village in the hinterlands of Belfalas, Ebold the Undying awaits the forging of a new greatsword by the artisan smith Feuros, TA 3008.

Ebold has wielded three primary weapons in his travels. Though the first was an unremarkable axe given to him by his mentor, Hereward the Tall, his second was the greatsword Reaper. This first sword was nothing extraordinary, merely an old sword given a gaudy and overbearing name for the sake of professing its owner's expertise. However, if nothing else, it did lend it's name for Ebold's second sword, which he still wields today. The new Reaper was forged by a master Gondorian smith in service to the Swan-Knights of Dol Amroth. Although it lacked any decoration, it was flawless.

Reaper was a gift to Ebold by his kinsman Solerius of the Towers. Previously a Swan-Knight himself, Solerius was owed a favour by the master-smith Feuros. Allegedly, Solerius had objected to such a pompous name as Reaper, but as he was unable to change Ebold's mind, he simply mocked him for it. A few months later Solerius inscribed the name 'Hammer of Lossarnach' on Ebold's theorbo as a parody of the absurd nomeclature for his weapons.
