To hiril Eërcalië, the Aicasicil estate Forlindon.
Gi suilon Eärcalië,
Ack, summer passes quickly, though still in its full bloom, a growing restlessness in its gentle breeze heralds the inevitable coming of a seasonal change. Yet, we are blessed to so savor its bountiful grace for now.
I do hope you are well, and that your stay at your uncle’s estate has been most pleasant and giving.
Here, the necessary repairs on the house are done, and I’ve cleaned and sorted through most of my mother’s belongings, that she had left me. Maedhrathin has been a great help here, though a bit reluctant at times.
I am writing to ask if you will be accompanying me back to Rivendell in the week after the end of Laer. I want to take advantage of the early autumn weather that still keeps the nights warm. Maedhrathin is not coming back with me at this time, unfortunately having matters to attend to here.
Should you want company on the road back, please send a message to Calengil, the grocer, in Duillond, he will know how to find me and relay your answer.
Gwannas lû and
Ealendil
