Games

​Nobles and their mistresses, illegitimate children seem to be a common thing among them.  Father wrote to me recently and chose to inform me of my half-sister Amerthis.  A girl of seventeen.  If Mother ever discovered this I am sure he would have suffered in some way or another, regardless.  It would seem  he is trying to push the girl upon me.  Either to avoid public disgrace or to get under my skin.  I have enough on my mind as it is, with Caliko's unexpected return.  The fool feigned his death, he will never understand the pain he caused both Kristophor and I.   I can only hope that if I meet this girl, that she is at least decent.  I grow weary of surprises at least the kind that make my heart stir with anxiety. It seems I must leave things to time once again, time tells everything.
