A dream

He was walking under golden trees, upon gold land, enjoying the sight and feeling the woods were giving off. He came near one of the Mallorn and had placed his hand on its bark, trying to get the feeling of it.

˝You look content enough.˝  a familiar voice from behind him said. He turned to the person.

˝Mae govannen, my friend! It has been a while.˝  he responded as he hugged his elf friend, instead of greeting him normally. His friend laughed, responding casually.

You never change. Im glad that we found you then, even by luck, by Nimrodel .

˝ You were one that found me? ˝

˝ Yes, along with a strong host of my kinsmen. We just returned from hunting. Those orcs that were chasing you were the prey. ˝   elf looked a bit concerned as he looked at him. Something was troubling him.

˝ I have heard of the choice my sister made. ˝   He spoke seriously. Adunzil looked at him with concern.

˝ Do you not approve? I guess it is something rare to happen, but many of people here look at me as  even more of an unwelcome guest now.  Do you also, Calathildir? ˝

Dont be a fool. Youve made my sister happy. It has been a long time since Ive seen her happy and unconcerned smile. But know, Adunzil Elequelië, that she is not Luthien, nor are you Beren. I can not see what will future bring, but I sense it will bring sadness.   Calathildir spoke from his heart, he could see that much, and he was grateful to him for that, even though his predictment was a dark one. Still, he diregarded it, deciding that his fate is his own to make.

Adunzil awoke in his camp. Sitting up he looked up at the stars, only light that was around now, since his small fire went out. Just a dream... Why did I have to remember that?

You were right, Calathildir, future brought me only pain.
