The Right Choice

Did Dev make the right choice in choosing to end his line, his officer career, in The Bree Watch? Many people admitted supervise when the workaholic serious man owned to the truth of the rumors. Yes, he had indeed handed in his notice of leave, direct to Nessya herself via formal letter.

Don't think it was an easy decision for him, as it was not. Dev loved his career and his people, those he saw on a daily basis, those he grew to respect, and endeavored hard to respect him,  but as time went on, things got more and more stressful. Especially when people would rather solve crimes themselves then think of involving The Bree Watch, let alone even bother reporting them. So often The Bree Watch, got the blame and harsh scoldings for incidents they knew nothing about - How Ironic. Dev spent a good long while working with many individuals in the town, if they couldn't trust the watch, he at least wanted them to trust him as an individual. It was this approach that saved him many incidents occurring. 

Looking back though, almost a week hence the leave. Dev can only grin and look over at the woman he now shares a life with. In the end, his leaving came as a good thing. After all, Milisent is going to need him at home more often for the next nine months.
