Journal of Capt Khalis Imieran Pg6

Khalis was looking down at his journal whilst sat at his desk in the Warbands Hall in Imladris. He picked up his scribing tool dipped it in the ink and began to write another page. The Lady Nimlith had returned to Imladris and spoke to those gathered the other night. Indeed she was swamped with people trying to get a word to her as she entered the Hall of Fire that evening. Khalis did not manage to stay to hear her words for there was an Initiation to be attended. The man Eireden who undertook his trial at the same time as Belegamallion has undertaken the Initiation and now is ranked among the 'Chosen Warriors' of the Warband. The Lady Elisbeth led the Initiation with the Officers and other Chosen in attendance. As with all those among the Chosen he was gifted with the finest equipment the Warband could supply from the store of the Warband and the smiths in Imladris. Now the newer lay members were ranked the search can begin for new candidates once more. The warrior ranks of the Warband were growing well but there seemed to be a lack of those with knowledge of the arcane. Perhaps some view the band as an army? Where as in truth its a hand picked group of individuals whose talents are used to take on a variety of different tasks and not just fighting. The band now had another two suppliers of food, that made three now, four if Belegmallions friend is counted. This had always been a weakness for food and such supplies can make a huge difference when on expedition or even daily duties. Khalis made a note to ensure Nystal is made known to the Malledhrim at the earliest opportunity, so as to allow him progression. No word had come from Loor in Breeland and no more sightings of darkly cloaked figures wandering the valley of Imladris since that time some weeks back. Perhaps the threat which Khalis had been told of had deminished..... .......perhaps time to send one of the menfolk of the band to have a look around Bree and report back. The hour was late and so Khalis placed away his scribing tool in its engraved wooden box and blew out the candle on his desk.
