Captain's Quick Report: Yard Party featuring the Ni!Ni! Hammers

Due to unforeseen circumstances, much more paperwork and writings were required to be done before reaching the Bird and Baby Yard Party, at the end of my swift-like journey to attend what was known as the 'Yard Party featuring the Ni!Ni! Hammers' event hosted there just a short while ago.

Though more than an hour had passed since the band had surely begun their performance, it was still a most enthralling occasion to hear the tunes they played for the remainder, and particularly whom made up the members of this musical group the 'Ni! Ni! Hammers' (though also known by some as The Ninny Hammers).  For there were represented quite a gathering of all the four races known of the Free Peoples, within the band, and in the audience too; travellers and visitors making the trek from near and far to listen to this special occasion the Yard Parties often are, hoho!

Back in Bree, the most current edition of the Bramblebury Gazette to cross my desk had then an article describing general details upon this upcoming band -- and what may be expected of songs to be played in the first and second periods of the eventful gathering.

Very strong roots to what sounded like tales suitable to Hobbit culture and life were also mentioned in the writing, but so too did I experience the outstanding lyrics myself when finally arriving for the latter half of the night!  Most amusing but melodious, and even a few sorrowful and humble, were what I can best describe of many the remaining songs I was privileged to hear before the encores began.  The stories told in some of them as well were very intriguing upon some moments, but also light-hearted with certainty at others.  A fine band, and talented musicians absolutely are the 'Ni! Ni! Hammers' I saw today -- many of familiar faces from our own lands too!  Hoho!

As I departed on merry thoughts from that gathering, there were some Hobbits who mentioned their travelling on the 'morrow for a weekly time of cheer at what Shire-folk call fondly 'Green Dragon Friday' -- a place in distant Bywater where Little Folk gather to share tales, gossip, and stories from their kind together in an atmosphere well-established and encouraged for Hobbits to attend.  Except tomorrow is slightly different in that it is titled as a 'Lone Bards Friday' for this week.  There was also an even more brief snippet, but sounded very exciting if I were a Hobbit, about a massive celebration to be had next Month for the Green Dragon Fridays turning Eight Years old!  A very big gathering open to all Little Folk, and very well worth starting to schedule in advance to attend if you are a Hobbit!  Anniversary meal competitions, outfit contests, poem presentations, tryouts for Anniversary waiters, fireworks, dancing, and more!  For Hobbits, by Hobbits!  Or at least so the group were cheering merrily as their conversation faded into distance.  Hohoho!

But pay little more attention to that passing conversation could I afford, as I continue towards my steed and way back to Bree -- for other word and reports had reached my ears from the Bree-land as well; the Bree Captain's Guild have apparently received vague reports of something in distant Gondor happening; while closer to home the talents of the Polnolunie musicians will wonderfully be seen on two occasions, the first being ' "Polnolunie" presents: concert "Shadow of the Great War" ', and the second through the mid-month an even more grand performance titled 'The Hope. Balrog's Footfall on Laurelin'.  Sometime before, in just the next week in fact, there will also be the election of a Shire May Queen for Hobbits over in their lands this year once more, and another Bird and Baby Yard Party in the Hobbit town of Michel Delving will reveal the lovely musicians known as the 'Crazy Ladies of the Forest'.  And of course later in the Month there is that outstanding time of the Forest of OAKS in Oldfurlong that already abounds in growing gossip among some back in Bree; of the festive spirit and music that will no doubt be present there upon the day of celebration of a year-long's success of OAKS, just like last year!

Ah, I have almost reached my destination, and a mailbox is just within sight, as this night sky of beautiful stars continue to move as they ever do until the next dawn approaches.  I was also sorting through the brief collection of rough sketches and draft colorings I had made while attending, and watching with joy, the 'Ni! Ni! Hammers' perform tonight.  All ready to go and to be delivered with this early report, if I do say so myself!

Until next time, Master Reader.  Hohoho!

Here before you are a few rough sketchings from this night's musical gathering, and of the fine event that was attended.  There are not as many to submit, so one album and collection to be attached with this report will do this time around.
